Okay, okay, okay! Are you sitting down? Guess what?? I got an amazing email today. Here is part of it.
..."Just thought you might not know that your fabric was in a major motion picture! I went to see Secretariat yesterday and his groom had a shirt on made from Prairie Paisley! It showed up in at least 15 shots!!!!!"
Wha....???? Sure enough. I found the trailer online (haven't seen the movie yet- but it is first on my list when we get back from Houston).
At approximately 1:12 into the trailer, the shirt the groom is wearing is unmistakably Prairie Paisley. Color us very, very flattered.
Okay, enough of this silliness, on to packing for Houston. Thanks everyone for bidding on the items in the previous post. Remember that the auction is open until Friday night.

Suh-weet! That's really cool!
It's my favorite fabric, so I'm not surprised at all that it was used!! :) This is totally cool!
Awesome! I knew I liked his shirt for a reason! LOL! The movie is so nice. Eventhough you know how it ends, you still get caught up in the drama! See it in the theatre for the full effect of galloping hooves!

Minick & Simpson Go Hollywood!! How fun! Next stop, the White House!
how fun!
I have to say the movie is amazing, but then I loved Seabisquit too!
have fun in houston.
I saw the movie a few weeks ago and leaned over to tell my BFF that I had a quilt on my bed made of that fabric. Being the Non-Quilter she is, she just laughed and told me I've taken this all a little too far! I manage a quilt shop in in San Jose, CA and I know every bolt of fabric that has sold in our store for the last 5 years. It's not my fault if I recognize fabric everywhere, but what a surprise to see some from my favorite designers in such a great movie. It's a MUST SEE!!! Congratulations!
So the conversation at our house last night went something like this....
"Are you sure that's your fabric?"
"Yes"
"It's only the screen for a split second"
"I'm sure. That's just the trailer. I'm sure it's on the screen a bit longer in the real movie"
"So someone who watches the movie can recognize your fabric?"
"Not regular people. Quilters can, though"
Bill shakes his head and walks away.

I think on the trailer video if you pause it at 58 seconds the same groomer has on a plaid shirt under a jean's jacket that also might be from the Paisley collection. Let me know if this is yours too. It's a great movie and even better with your fabrics in it.
OMG - that is so cool! Love it Laurie! I wish they would have had me quilt it! LOL
